Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hey guys, I'm brand new to this kind of thing. On a recent trip to China, I found a few of these beautiful birds nested outside my window. The wise Chinese men say: If a Lucky bird nests outside your window, you have good luck for a year! I'm looking forwards to a nice long streak of good karma and positive feedback and tips for my photography :P

If any of you out there are good at photo editing, can you let me know how I did/what I can do to make it better (like eliminating that blur)? Currently I'm using Adobe Lightroom 3.4. Thanks!

You can't really reduce blur in photos. You can get the shot sharp in camera though, and that will make the biggest difference.

Shot 2 exif:

Camera Maker: NIKON CORPORATION
Camera Model: NIKON D60
Lens: 55.0-200.0 mm f/4.0-5.6
Image Date: 2011-07-04
Focal Length: 200mm (35mm equivalent: 300mm)
Focus Distance: 3.76m
Aperture: f/5.6
Exposure Time: 0.040 s (1/25)
ISO equiv: 200
Exposure Bias: none
Metering Mode: Matrix
White Balance: Auto
Flash Fired: No (enforced)
GPS Coordinate: undefined, undefined

Your exposure time was WAAAY to slow for your focal length if you were shooting handheld. I would assume you were using a tripod. To reduce blur like that, you'd want your shutter speed in the 1/160s to 1/200s area at a minimum.

Okay, thanks. I'll keep that in mind - btw, how did you get the camera information like that?

Did you use SP mode? At 200mm focal length, your shutter need to be faster than 1/200 for steady object. For bird, I would use 1/400 or 1/800s (Depend on the light condition). You are lucky to be able to shoot at such short distance.

nice pics i saw some of them on my trip to china few months ago but couldn't get clear pics
