The photo has excessive top space AND you managed to crop off the cat's feet, effectively ruining the picture. The image also seems very low-resolution, with tons of noise reduction having been performed. Overall, a very weak image on technical values, and also on artistic values. Cute cat though. This is what many people call a "cat snap". This kind of photo is what a lot of wealthy amatuers have bought the Canon EOS 5D Mark II for.

Yes, it is a "cat snap". I have many of these (three cats).

When taking pictures like that of the cat ... make sure the eyes are in focus as they are very important to portrait (human or animal) images.
