First photos since moving to the whole new world of DSLR's.

These are my favourite pics from my recent road trip from Dunedin to Christchurch, New Zealand, taken on a Canon EOS 600D/Rebel T3i

After some C&C to help me better myself!

grrrrr, does anyone know how to get the proper bb codes from flickr? i normally use photobucket and cant figure out how to do it :(

if you have either google chrome or grease monkey for other web browsers, you can look at the direct link in the coding

or

you can look at the source code in ie, and eventually you might find it

but with chrome just right click the image, and choose inspect element, and it will take you straight to the direct link

and this works with any image, on any sight

You need to use the link that ends in " . jpg" in between the IMG codes.

Personally I only really like number 7. The rest seem like snapshots of othing overly exciting.
Christchurch is pretty awesome for photos - Specially atm with all its earthquake crap!
Im ment to be moving there to live in a couple months :/

My only comments are on the last two as the first six really don't do anything for me. In the last two, you need to have the horizon level as it is tilted in both images and it is right in the centre of the picture - check out the rule of thirds...well not really a "rule", but it is a suggested guideline. When you put the horizon right through the centre of the picture it is, or can be, a bit confusing, because this gives equal weight to both parts of the image. If you want to emphasize the sky then lower the horizon in the image so that the sky occupies the upper 2/3rds of the image - or there abouts. If you want to emphasize the beach, and this is probably one where you might think about doing that, then the beach should probably occupy the lower 2/3rds of the image. My 0.02¢ FWIW.

Cheers,

WesternGuy
