My buddy likes to do personalized Christmas photo every year. I am helping him this year. Here is what I did. What do you think?

Did you notice the Axe and the chipped tree?

I prefer the last image best, however, I do with that you could dodge his eyes a bit, they tend to be very dark and the image would have more emotion if you could see his eyes.

Great idea and the shots look good. But I think you would have benifited from an older looking axe. The last one is my favorite.

Yeah.. we only had one tiny one.. thats why I photochopped it bigger.

IMO:
Of the three, the last is my favorite, though if you could lighten the area around his eyes that might help.
Interesting idea for a Christmas card.

It is indeed an interesting idea for a card. The shot, imo, is so cluttered that I only checked the tree as an after thought. All but his shirt ans skin blend in with his surroundings. My vote goes to #2 and #4.

Could ya have given him a xmas scarf or something? something more to make it christmasie...i dunno...certainly looks old fashioned...but I wouldn't assume it was for xmas...imo, but overall...I love the way you take pics.

Nice shot Schwetty, I agree it could be more Christmasy ?? sp? The last one is my favorite as well but if you dodged in his eyes a bit would be nice. Maybe throw a christmasy scarf on him or a Santa hat. It just doesn't scream Christmas.

i like the first edit. i kinda think it's funnier with the hatchet vs. the enlarged axe looking hatchet.

I think you did a good job PSing the axe to make it bigger, but I don't think the chopped out part of the tree gets noticed. I didn't see it until I read that it was there.

I must not have looked at the original very well the first time because I had to go back and see that the axe and tree were done after the fact. I noticed both in the edits and just assumed they were there in the origianl. That = great photoshopping, IMO.

Truthfully, #3 is my favorite of the bunch. (#2 of the edits)
