My camera finally came in! This is my first time using a DSLR type of camera and I really would love some tips. The picture doesn't look all that clear to me. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I was bored the other night so I decided to see what I can do with a tripod and my new camera. This is a shot from the steps of the art museum(yeah, the one in the rocky movies) towards the city hall.

haha that museum actually has the rocky statue i never knew that...the oddest thing...anyways yes it is blurry....did you use manual or auto focus? a bit overexposed...and whats up with the building tops? looks like whtie flames....dont know what thats from....looks like you were trying to get everything in focus and instead got nothing in focus...just to busy....let the exposure meter tell u what to do...and yellow tint...might just be becuase of the lights who knows
