Clone XP from C Drive to another Internal Drive?

In case anyone is following. Clone was partially successful to a degree. I have severe permissions issue and with not being able to see the network connections. So I would say I messed up.

Are you able to login as administrator? If you followed my directions, you should still have the original drive, right? Plug it back in.. and start over. Read the directions on the software you used... it should not mess up permissions. Make sure you have administrator access...

I am not sure? I can go into via run and see and assign users groups. There is an Admin, but it does not come up after a reboot? I have tried several times to allow me to change file permissions.

What account are you logging in with? Does it have administrator privileges? If you don't know what I am talking about, it might be best to go back to the original drive... and hire someone to do this for you.

I know what you are saying. Friday it was set up not to require a login with a password. I did take it to a friend who runs a computer business in town who used his software to clone the disc and make it the C drive. I think that the change in the login caused the permission issue. I have W7 disc but cannot find it.... been a frustrating weekend.
