Thoughts and critique are encouraged, as always. Tried something new and I have very little experience with sunsets (literally-I've shot two or three of them before). Thanks for looking!

i like one okay, all that dead negative space pointing me. Im a big fan of space. i like the expanse of it. Nice and clean. And just emphasizes the parcel nice and lush and built The sky above and the space make it look smaller but also more significant and they bring me right to it.. two i don't like, sunflare but also too much sky for my taste because it doesn't seem to serve a purpose in 2, and the foreground isn't working. Maybe a little more detail in the foreground would help. Three i just really, don't like.

Sun flares are an acquired taste, methinks. Seems to be a polarizing (PUNPUNPUN) subject. I belong to a Facebook group for automotive photography (I try-not the best, but far from the crap I did when I first started taking pics of cars) and there's a pretty bloody war. We had 17 casualties the last time it was brought up-I don't know how much longer we can hold on. It's getting intense. :lol:

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. As for #1, I'm pretty sure I'm jealous of that property.

1 could be a little crisper, maybe clean up the processing a little? Make that little lush area a little more crisp? But i kind of like one. Lot of people would give you **** about one for that space. KInd of like flares though, some people like negative space, some people don't. i like it when it serves a purpose and open landscapes give me the feeling of freedom, even when it borders on abstract. so i generally deal with them better.
sounds like a rough group you are in.

Sadly, I had to sharpen that up quite a bit too. Now that I think about it, that lens is a bit soft at its widest end, even at its best aperture. Maybe I should back up and shoot that a little... less wide? You know what I mean. That or the polarizer I use is causing IQ issues. Or I just suck at landscape photography, which is highly probable. :lol:

I'm gonna start over with that. I tried a few different strategies to see if I could get it a bit sharper, and it just won't go. I have a couple other shots from that angle I'm going to try and edit, and I think one's a lot sharper.

For these, Canon 7D, Tamron 17-50 f2.8 (apparently it's chromatic aberrations at 17mm that cause the problems I was having with sharpening), Agfa polarizer, and Lightroom. No graduated ND filters this time.
