Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I didn't get good feedback on this one, do you think anything is off? I like it very much but did I overdo the editing? (I'm on a ****ty unreliable monitor right now).

Thanks.

I feel as though I am looking at two pictures. One ocean and rail track pulling my attention left. The second is a road and mountains
pulling right. I hope this helps. Keep shooting, you have talent. Ed

I like it. Is this near Kaikoura by any chance?

Yeah, I'd agree with Ed, there's just too much going on here.

For me, because of the way the photo is split, and you've got tracks going up one side and the road going up the other side, and the water coming in from the left--the focal point ends up being that sign with the arrow on it and the strip of grass in the middle becomes the main leading line, and there's just nothing that intriguing about either of those things.

This is probably one of those photos where it's just almost impossible to digitally reproduce what your eyes saw in that scene. In real life, our eyes take in so much of the entire surroundings, and work in conjunction with our other senses--what it sounds like, what it smells like--to create a "visual" experience that can be amazing in person. But then we try to capture that amazing experience in a single photo and it falls flat, because...well, because it is a FLAT representation of a 3-D, whole-sensory experience.

Yes, maybe a little more than halfway from Blenheim :)

Thanks! I'll try to keep it simpler next time.
