~ COLD DUCK ~ Temperatures here in the northeast saw a simultaneous plunge in the mercury coupled with rain that froze on contact. A veneer of ice is covering nearly all surfaces this morning.
This old cork black duck decoy gifted to me from a retired Game Warden buddy (Fred Ruhlemann) can be seen glazed in ice. Fred carved this decoy years ago and hunted over a rig of similar birds that he generously gave to me. I have often pondered the many great hunts that took place over these birds.
