Cold Night

I've wanted to capture such composition for a long time, but needed all the right stars to align(pun intended) to get this. This was at around 2800m(8400ft) in altitude and the night was colder than expected. However I was so stoked to finally had a clear sky with tent and bike (got it just two days before!). At 4.30am I woke up to pee and the milky way was like a rainbow that covered the entire sky. It's always a pity that I can't capture the sense of breath-taking awesomeness with a camera. Perhaps a fisheye next time.

i like the bottom one the most, but do feel the bike should not be in the shot, for me its too distracting

You really nailed it! They could easily be advertising pictures and I think the inclusion of the bike adds to the feel and attitude of them. Great colors with light inside the tents, beautiful starscape.

Awesome pictures but I agree, if you're going to distract with anything at least make it a naked hottie, hee-hee!
