With two games in the books thus far, I thought I would share some of my best images with you guys. Any C&C are greatly appreciated.
Wow! A Nikon user.... Do a D90 camera can get images like this also? What lense did you use to get this? Wow all the images are great!
I will be purchasing a new cam D90 hopefully by October the kit have 18-106 lense and I will add also a 50mm 1.4g. Any advice for addtional lense for Sport, fashion and Event Photgraphy but mostly I will be in portraiture
When I shoot I use my D300 on my 300mm (except for pregame when I put my 18-70 on my D300 for more wide-angle shots like #6), and I also have a D90 which I put my 80-200 on. Here's an example of a shot with the D90:
The one thing I don't like about the D90 is the lack of frames per second...with the D300 I get 8fps, but with the D90 I probably get 3. You lose a LOT of action. But in the end, the key to photos like this isn't the camera body...It's the lenses...For GOOD sports photography, invest in a good lens like an 80-200 or 70-200...It took me quite a while to save up for the 300mm.
Derrel:
He actually doesn't have him by the horse collar...he has him by the jersey, so it's completely legal...In the sequence I took he actually starts off by grabbing his horse collar and then he moves down to grab the jersey before falling off in the frame after that one.
That shot will be the front page of this weeks newspaper...Definitely the best football shot in my portfolio by far.
