I'm working on a texture for one of my 3d scenes, and I want a really blue sky with really white clouds, but I'm having trouble making that contrast. I'm using a photo as a starting point, any tips to separate the sky from the clouds?

If you are using Photoshop, you can use the Select -> Color Range tool to select just the color of the sky. Next, try the burn/dodge tools to get the right shade that you want. Or, trying changing the hue/saturation of the image with just the sky selected. There's actually a number of ways to get the effect you are asking for. If you would be able to post the image in question, I'm sure that some of us on here (myself included) could take a crack at it for ya. :)
