Color Profiles! HELP!

Ok, here's the skinny. I use a Canon Digital Rebel XT and have it set on adobe RGB...hurray . I put the photos on the computer and the colors look dazzling...Great . I upload the photos to the internet to places like JPG and Flickr and the colors look really desaturated....

How do i fix this problem?! Does any body else have/had this problem in the past? I use Adobe Elements 4.0 for mac to edit my photos on occasion and it seems that when i remove the color profile, the same color changes apply, but when i assign the same profile, boom...bright beautiful colors. Hmmm...

I have the same problem and I am converting to sRGB. I'm using photoshop though.

Are you converting to profile or are you assigning profile?
If you are converting, post links to an unconverted image.
