here are some shots i took today, and my first attempt at photoshop also. lay into me

The balls are out of focus in both of those shots. Did you make half of #3 black and white? Seems odd to me... I like the blooming tree, but would probably crop it closer.

I assume #1 and #2 have some meaning to you? None to me.. as mentioned OOF, and boring.

#3... partial desaturation? On purpose, or error? what is the subject... tree or light? No meaning...

#4.. obligatory flag shot. Seen way to many.. boring...

#5... water.. falling... so? No thought into this one.. that I can see anyway! No blurring of water.. B&W conversion is ok.. but lacks full tonal range... that froth in the water is usually white.. not gray.

#6.. better.. sharp.. nice color.. anda tight vertical crop on that center branch would make it sweet. Too bad you didn't shoot it that way....
