Hi was wanting to know what everyone thought of this photo. Took it just after I got a D90. Still trying to figure it out. So C&C are welcome. Thank you for taking the time to help.

seems washed out.
head position is passed 2/3rds view and didn't get to profile thus you end up with pinochio effect (nose looks bigger).
BUT you learn as you go

it's pretty decent, not fantastic and not terrible. to build on the above either get the full second eye or none of it, cut off eyes are bad. if you moved to the side and dropped the further eye out of the shot it would help her nose and half cheek. also, if she had tilted her head upwards just a touch you wouldn't have the shadows across her eyes. pretty good depth of field though.

now, that's all fine and well if you're having her pose for the shot which isn't always the case, sometimes you just want a nice spontaneous picture of your kids and from that perspective i think it is nice.
