Went to a spot looking for eagles this morning. Came up empty on Eagles, but there were a lot of Mergs zipping around.. Thanks for looking and comments welcome...

Great shots! Both are beautiful but I like the second one better, there is something about the trio that makes it special in my eye.

I live 3,000 miles west of you...I've never seen a common merg, only the reds. Lots of them here on the smaller rivers. One day I enjoyed watching an adult herd about seven babies around in low, clear river water, from up on a high bank...I could watch the little ones trying so,so hard to catch fish...they were really poor at it!
