Compact but classic looking cameras?

Well I'm thinking about buying a new camera for street photography.
I say a compact one because I go to school in Manhattan and I have a lot of things in my bag so no room for dslr's.
I also want a classic looking camera.
I was thinking about the [h=1]Fujifilm X10.[/h]

And the X100. But that's about it for "classic"-looking cameras.

The X10 is one sexy beast. If you can spring for it, the M9 is perfect.

I ever I'm in the mood to treat myself I might just have to see an X10. Seems like a really nice little camera to have as a 'grab and go'.

A girl at our club has the X10 i took a portrait of here at iso1250 no flash and was very suprised how good it looked, great little camera and feels very nice

M9 is not really a compact camera. In fact, it's probably the furthest thing from it.

If your idea of "classic" looking is the X10, then you should also consider the the Canon G12. The G12 has a similar layout and configuration at a lower price. Both have adv/disadv to consider when compared to each other (including price). Given the choice of either, I'd probably lean towards the X10 but i can think of many other cameras I'd rather have than either. Classic "look" does not rank high on my priority list.

I think one thing about the X10 that really stands out for me is the zoom ring.
