complete newbie brandishing a 6mp digital camera

I'd like to take a halfway reasonable indoor photo of some furniture for use on ebay with the above equip. any suggestions regarding lighting without spending loads of 'dosh'

Need a bit more info about your equipment other than that it's a 6MP camera.

What kind of lighting do you have available? What is the physical setup of the area you were hoping to take pictures in? Do you have anything to use as a backdrop? Do you have an external flash? Do you like monkeys?

Are you inferring that if he likes monkeys, then he may have some running around the house and if so, they may run off with his lighting so he may need something solidly mounted on a very heavy base?

Backdrop would be a natural room setting, just a 6mp Samsung no external flash
lighting at present just ceiling / wall lights
