What do TPF folk recommend in Composition books or websites out there.

I'm basically looking for a fairly comprehensive book that would review portraiture, landscape, architecture, nature/animals, etc etc

I've realized when I've gone out and take pictures of say, architecture, that I just don't get it right. And I'm not sure how to "get it right". Same with taking pictures of people in a studio setting or out in the streets.

Thanks

Obviously I recommend MY book ;) (see my signature). But also "Pictorial Effect in Photography" by Henry Peach Robinson, available on books.google.com for free. My book is mostly cribbed from his, so. It's an oldie but a goodie.

Check out Michael Freeman, off the top of my head i don't remember the title, but google should bring it up with no problems.

To cover all those subjects will require a small library of books.

Yes I understand the complexity and breadth of the question.
But just like when I bought my d7000 I was overwhelmed, and then just did "one particular" item at a time.
I expect to see the breadth of what I'm asking here and then just try to focus on one particular thing at a time.

It's a long road to understanding, and you have to start sooner or later.
