Composition

Hello everyone, I've been taking pictures for about a week now, I was wondering if anyone could explain or give me some resources about composition to work with.

Also if anyone has good ideas for some themes for picture taking I would be very greatful.

Michael Freeman's The Photographer's Eye is my favorite book ever on composition.

and any other composition books written for painters. Try to ignore the ones written by photographers because a lot of them don't really know much about art and will just spout a bunch of cliches that run in photo circles and don't really help much (e.g., "rule" of thirds, horizon at 1/3 or 2/3, don't center things, etc.).
