Computer geek required

Had to do a clean install over the weekend and all went quite well apart from when i try to sign into MSN Messenger, i get an error message saying i need to be on-line, when i allready am. Any ideas on what could or couldn't be happening? ps. the email a/c with hotmail works fine though.

Just managed to get Window's messenger up and running but not MSN messenger. Ah well :roll:

Sorted it out. My Firewall was blocking all activity

My previous FW was a Norton FW but i changed it to McAfee FW and i think it's a lot better. It blocks everything until you allow them and then remembers your preference. Well, i know that now don't i? :roll:
