Computer monitor question.

Hey guys I am looking to get better at editing (I know if you get a good picture to begin with you wont need much editing) I recently got a cable to connect my laptop to my computer screen (50" HD LCD Samsung) and was wondering if that is better than the screen on the laptop. Putting the type of laptop aside (Macbook pro if you really want to know) will the color be more accurate and better?


The reason I ask is I see people talking about calibration programs for their computer screens to get accurate colors and better for editing. I am just curious if using the TV as my screen if it makes the color better or if it is just a mirror reflection of the computer screen.

Any input appreciated.

It could be better, it might be worse. It depends on the screen and if you've calibrated it or not.
