Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
This is the right place for this kind of thing, yes?

A little bored, and curious as to what others think of my photos. Some big flaws that pop out at you, tips or tricks, lemme know :) I'll try and post a variety...

This one taken with my D90 and Sigma 70-200 f2.8 - Imelda May

Taken with D700, and probably my Nikkor 24-70 f2.8 (was a little while ago) Korey Cooper of Skillet;

Here's an old one... Taken on my D90 (before I even had the D700) with my nifty fifty (f1.4) some member of Devine Electric;

Much more recent, Peter Furler. Taken on the D700, no idea which lens.

A bit of a wider stage shot, Oh Sleeper. Taken with D700 and God only knows what lens.

To prove I'm not a one trick pony...from a recent birthday party I shot. I sort of class this as a concert due to the amount of hilarity, alcohol and entertainment-bizz people in attendance. It was my first time ever using an external flash. An SB-900, I believe? Not mine.

Great set, this is the type of photography i will be pursuing aswell.

Keep it up

Very nice! #s 2 and 3 are my favorite, #3 especially.

I just watched the documentary Rock Prophesies (pretty decent film if you haven't seen it) and it really made me want to try this out. Concerts are a lot of fun, photography is a lot of fun, concerts and photography together has to be a great time!

Wow, these are great! I love how sharp these are and the lighting is great.

Doods, aren't I supposed to be copping all sorts of criticism here? :lol: Thanks for the kudos.

Piggle5, #2 (Korey Cooper of Skillet) has proved to be just about my most popular photo. At least on Flickr. I thought it might just be her flexibility....:mrgreen:

Concert photography is a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of hard work. Over Easter I shot a 3 day festival, up in Toowoomba (inland town set atop a range) on the 2nd night and got flooded whilst shooting one band, waiting for Switchfoot. Ended up having to climb up to side-of-stage and missed my landing...left that festival very bruised. Or couple weeks ago shooting Escape The Fate the staff had the bright idea of giving the first few rows of fanatical fanboys and girls cups of water....insert chaos here. Security guys and photogs were flat out not slipping ont he wet (lino'd) pit for the rest of the night. I regularly have crowd surfers pulled over my head to be ejected from the venue, crazy fans push past me to get to the stage, security treat me like a fly (as in bat me away without a thought) I have drinks, mobiles and various other projectiles thrown at me or dropped on me....and the lead singer of Oh Sleeper has it in for me because not once but twice he tried to use my head as a launching pad for his stage-diving antics.

So um, armour up, get fast glass and a body you can wield with ease. Prepare to wear black all the time, never be appreciated for your work, spend ages waiting around for bands to start and have bits of foam jammed in your ear canals a lot. Also to have rights grabs contracts shoved under your nose.

Even with all that, it's the most freaking fun in the world ;)

Hey, there you are! I was starting to wonder where you disappeared to after we PM'd back and forth way back when, haha!

I'm exhausted, so I have nothing really constructive to say, but I really like your work (not that I haven't told you that already! :lmao: )

Love number 2 and 3!!

Stick around this time... I could learn a thing or two... :biglaugh: :sexywink:
