Considering two new lenses. Thoughts?

Mostly for portraits. I need something a bit shorter then my 50mm, nedd suggestions. I am also thinking of the 85mm f/1.8 or f/1.4 for out door stuff.
Anyone have experience with either of these lenses?

A 35mm or 28mm prime would give you something close to a 'normal' focal lenght. This range is covered by your 18-55 so I guess you are not satisfied with the speed or image quality. The 85mm f1.4 is a gorgeous lens but pricey, it's the favorite for portraits, indoor or out, although you do need a bit of room if you want more than a head and torso portrait indoors. Your 80-200 is also a very capable portrait lens.
