Contract for Photo in Magazine?

Hi all, I apologize if this is in the wrong place.

A small pet magazine contacted me seeing if I wanted to have photos of my dog in their magazine. They mentioned an email to send high resolution photos to, but I did not send any. Instead, I asked for details, perhaps a contract, regarding terms of use of the photograph(s). They replied by saying they do not have a contract, but assured me they would just use the photo(s) in the magazine.

I do not want to share the photos without a guarantee of one-time-use, and that I still own the rights. I was thinking that if I come up with a contract, perhaps I can suggest it to them.

Any thoughts on this? Can someone please help me with links on contract templates? I have no idea what these look like, will continue to do google searching on it.
