Converting RAW to TIFF to JPG?

Since i don't have a DVD drive that works at the moment, converting my TIFF to JPG would work, right? So I could get more on a CD?

I had already converted all of them previously to TIFF but now I need smaller files. If they are saved as a JPG will I still be able to pull them up in DDP and change them if I need to?

did you shoot the originals in RAW or JPG? I would buy an external drive to store your files on.
If you convert the tif to jpg, you can use DPP to convert them back. This type of process does degrade the quality of the image though. Each time you save a jpg, it compresses it further. Not sure if it would be noticable or not.

Thanks, yes I shoot everything in RAW and convert using DDP. Then I guess I will have to buy an external drive eventually.

Personally, I would back up the RAW. Convert as needed. I highly recommend an external drive. I don't recommend only ONE copy though. I never feel comfortable without two or more copies of the original.
