Coolpix 5700 and Vivitar 850AF

I need a speedlight for my NIKON Coolpix 5700. Has anyone use the Vivitar 850AF with the 5700?

iv used it with a coolpix 5000. it worked just as well as my SB-50DX. not al the functions are supported such as AF assist light, that only works on nikon film and digital SLR's (and some Fuji and Kodak digital SLR's)
