Country Road

I like the delicate tones in this one, and the slightly green cast. Makes me come back for another look.

Thanks Barbarian :)

2 things.

1. It's seems to have a green tint as stated above. Not sure if it was your intention.
2. I do find myself wondering what is at the end of the road.

Probably not helpful but it's the best I got. ;)

Thanks John and John ;)

The slight green tint was intentional, default gives the mix about +6 mauve, I brought it down to 0 and saturated the greens a little to bring out the definition in them. I'm now hoping it isn't distracting ;)

I really like the shot, gets me curious...

Between the break in the trees there seems to be something organe, I assume it's the sky, maybe from the sun setting? This is very picky but for some reason it was really distracting me, no one else stated it so I'm probably just being a bit too critical, sorry, just thought I'd let ya know what I saw. :D

Overall though, beautiful shot! :D

After I deciphered your code and figured out that organe was really orange I see what you are talking about ;) It's a tree that still has its leaves tucked in the distance, I didn't find it distracting but I see it now, it may be worse/better when it's printed so I will keep that in mind, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

This is very lovely, well done.

I am going to make two tiny suggestions: Dodge the farthest end of the road a touch, to brighten it; increase the saturation of the orange spot in the sky.

Thanks Andrew :)

I'm on my iPod, it looks good here but I'll post again when I see it on the computer, thanks for taking the time to do the edit :)

Finally got back to see on the computer, thanks again Andrew, I do like the tweak, I really need to start working on seeing where small local adjustments like that make a difference!

Very nice shot,I will admit I don't like the green tint of the road.I think if you lightened the road a bit it would be a total winner to me

Thanks for your thoughts Digibill :)

Pix, I keep coming back and looking at this, so you must have done something right. ;-)

I like it. I *almost* love it. But not quite, and WHY I don't love it is what keeps me coming back--I can't quite put my finger on it.
I think it has to do, mainly, with two things:
--That little bit of orange at the far end of the treeline. I get what it is and why it's there, but I personally find it distracting and if it were my photo, I'd try to clone it out of there.
--The green tinge. This is really the heart of why I don't love it, but I don't know...maybe I think it's just very slightly too green. Or maybe I hate the green tinge altogether. :D
Again, if this were mine, I think I'd play with some other color variations and just see what happens.
It *could* also be that, back in the day, with some of the cheapo film cameras I used to have, I got a plethora of those green-tint pictures, and hence have no desire to get them on purpose now.
Kinda the same way I feel about Instagram. :lmao:

I didn't like the green cast from the outset and still don't. There's such a nice pastoralist painting feel to the composition and the colors are there for the taking, that allowing by deliberation or whatever a color cast to dominate seems almost sinful to me.

A different take, a different look and as always, just another opinion. Sins to one, blessings to others. :D
