The first is a pic of one of my wifes too many, I mean many Longaberger baskets. The second is a before shot of #3 and the third is, well the finished product. Both shots taken in my homemade lightbox.

Don't care too much for the border on your first image; second image needs some light. I like your third image and I see the difference your homemade lightbox made.

The second and third are the same image, just a before and after PS.

I know what you are saying. I tried to make it "pop" more but I couldn't figure anything out.
