Testing out a new to me 100-400L mkII with poor lighting and unwilling subjects. Bufflehead is a heavy crop, couldn't get them to get any closer and since they are so small in-flight pics are hard. The eider was just annoyed.

I've heard great reports about this lens. I have the Mark 1 which has been a workhorse for me. I no longer use it tho as I've newer lenses covering that focal range.

Great to see the Eider, a bird we don't see too often on here. The males have fantastic colours on them.

I'd love to see a King Eider and we do get them here but I've never been fortunate enough so see one let alone photograph one.
