Ever wonder what the underside of a 148-year-old Vermont covered bridge looks like?

Very interesting. I love the uniformity. We have hundreds of old covered bridges here in New Brunswick. Never, once ever thought to take a peek underneath.

Nice shot. I used to have a secret "party" hangout which just happened to be underneath an old covered bridge. We would step over the guard rail inside and climb down to and sit on one of the pillars.

oh man...very cool indeed! What a great spot to make memories. I could stare at this old wood all day. Thinking about how the lumber was milled and erected is pretty heavy stuff imo. My other hobby is woodworking so I probably see images like this a little differently than many, but I’m sure the artists on here can appreciate the craftsmanship of building something like this.

Interesting shot. Did you try a monochrome conversion? These types of shots scream B&W - at least for me anyways.

I completely agree. Personally, I prefer most in BW. This one, however, I prefer the color. In the color version, the red tone in some of the cross beams (I think) is an interesting main subject of the image. But you be the judge:

I think your conversion may be a bit on the darker side - at least for me. Anyway, nice shot.

I like a good B&W of wood and that's a nice one but when it comes to a very good looking wood (as in this picture) full of different shades of browns, greens, yellows and reds I have to go with the color pic. I just like how all the colors blend together, I could look at it for hours.

I couldn’t agree more. In that case you’d love my library of pictures of barn exterior walls. Most people would think they are boring, but you sound like me...could look at those photos all day.
