My good friend's meager heard

Thin cows in Appalachia, who woulda thought.

Well that is an interesting image. The builder of the barn either was a genius at improvisation, or didn't meet a level line that he liked. There are diagonals running around this image like chickens in a barnyard at feeding time. One of the diagonals is made of the bovine participants, who also seem to be family unit, except for the one at the end who may or may not have been adopted. The lushness of the image contrasts with the thinness of the bull's sides. And to make it look like a spontaneous shot, you've included a little out-of-focus bluish thingie at the lower right. I love it all.

They look like the cows I see traveling. Probably means they're not full of growth hormones and all that other nasty stuff.

Very nice.

Looks like a nice way to spend the morning :)

Thank you all for you kind words. Was visiting my buddy who was convalescing. Daniel had rolled his tractor over the hill. Broke his pelvis, 45 stitches, nocked out a tooth. He had to walk back to his house injured, maybe a quarter mile. Then 911 out. He is in his 60s. Tough old bird.

Wow. How do you "walk" a quarter-mile with a broken pelvis? Tough old bird indeed!

I almost forgot a couple of fractured ribs. And it was all down hill from where it happened. Mountain man, best describes him. Later. Ed
