Coyote on Yellowstone Lake

Yellowstone Lake was completely frozen over during our recent trip. Driving along the lake I noticed a hole in the ice and several ducks taking advantage. About that time my eye caught this fellow on his way out to the hole to check things out. Needless to say, the ducks didn't hang around but we couldn't resist grabbing a golden opportunity!

He eventually noticed me and paused to take stock of his situation. He didn't stay long after that.
