I don't really understand about filter. If i buy a 55mm CPL filter, is that means that the filter for 55mm lens only...

Thanks...

Look for the symbol that looks like a circle with a diagonal line crossing it. That's usually under the lens cap or the front of the lens itself. A number should precede that symbol. That's the filter size you need.

Apologies in advance if I am oversimplifying ...

A "55mm filter (CPL, UV, ND, etc ...)" is not necessarily for a 55mm lens.

The 55mm is the diameter of the lens - I think. It is not the "length" of lens.

ex: I have 77mm filter for my 70-200
I have 52mm (I think) for my 28-135
I have 77mm filter for my 17-40

The 70-200 lens and 17-40 lens happen to have the same diameter while the 52mm is smaller.

The Tamron 18-250 ... is it this one? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/477062-REG/Tamron_AF018S700_AF_18_250mm_f_3_5_6_3_Di_II.html
If you go to specs for that lens, it will tell you that the filter size is "62mm". Filters you can use are also on that page. B&H makes it easy :)

Hope this helps.

Thank You Guys... :)

I'm ready to search & shop now :D
