Cracked | Test

Just testing out a concept that I'd like to give a go with the right model and a bit more refinement. Had to get in front of the camera since no-one else was around :/

Thoughts thus far?

Oooh keep testing. Looks great. I wonder what the colour version looks like.

One suggestion is that if you are not doing his neck cover it up with something or crop at his chin.

Has good potential I think. Maybe work on it, try different degrees of crackedness...see how it looks with less blackness perhaps? Smaller gaps between the cracked sections? Maybe? Maybe not? Not really sure, but it does look eye-catching. As 407370 suggested, the neck...maybe make the neck cracked as well? This could go a number of ways. Has a lot of potential I think.

Great start!

To make it more "real" you may need some dodging and burning around the edges of the "pieces" to make them look a little more 3D as well as some warping where the cracks follow around a corner, i.e., just under the eyebrow, the crease of the chin, edge of the bottom lip, under the lower eyelid, etc.

Fun little project! Keep at it!
