Critique please :)

I have an older DSLR so I have to watch my ISO settings. Anything over 400 begins to get uneacceptable to me, but these guys and gals with new machines can jack the ISO through the roof with little affect on quality.

One thing I would also mention is the eyes, grasp catch light in the eyes. Google that :) eyes are very important it can along with background the eyes can make the image pop, and I also believe the smile is most important. There was no intention on telling you your son or anyone's son has a bad smile it was just pointed out that a "fake" smile no matter child or adult is very easy to spot but when you get a great laugh or smile and capture of eyes man that's the image you want :) make sure to also have a tripod or heck a mono pod is great to have as well.

Beautiful kid though, keep it up!

We don't take pictures we make memories ;-)

Just because your lens shoots 1.8, doesn't mean you should shoot every image at 1.8
