Crop this out of a flock

A big flock of geese flew over my grandsons soccer match the other day. I cropped these 2 out of the group. I wish they were sharper but they are at the limits of my equipment.

May be time to treat yourself to a D800 for the crop factor?

Maybe, it's not just the D800 body, it's all the glass I would have to replace too. lol

Not a big fan of the vignette.

Yeah I know, but it doesn't make much sense to me to use a DX lens on an FX body. I'm waiting for some test and review data on the new D600. It is in my price range and I have a few older AF - FF lenses from my film days to get me started.

Looks ok as is, zoomed in it's just too fuzzy.
