How do you crop a picture in PS so that you get the right size print. I have cropped some but in doing so I was only able to get a 8x14 instead of 8x10. How do I alleviate this problem? I hope that made since.

When using the Photoshop crop tool, you can specify the ratio (width & height) and the tool will stick to that ratio. (boxes in the top menu area).

You can also specify the resolution, which is great when cropping for prints...but not necessary.

Photoshop also has several pre-set crops for standard prints (it's in a drop down menu). So you could just pick the 8x10 option and it will give you the 8x10 ration at 300 PPI.

EDIT: original answer deleted; what I wrote did not make any sense, even to me... Sorry.
