Culvert under rails

This is the culvert where Stoney Creek goes under the CN rail track through Hamilton. A long hike up the creek and two waterfalls, and this was my favourite shot of the day.

The light quality wasn't all that good. It's pretty flat.

If you were to go back to the location and had an off camera flash, you could put the flash unit inside the culvert pointed back towards the culvert entrance and at the culvert wall furthest from your camera. That would light the graffiti inside the culvert.

If you had 3 OCF units you could put 1 in the culvert as above, one with a horizontal snoot on it and placed out of the frame camera right to light the graffiti on the wall to camera left, and the 3rd with a round snoot positioned camera left and aimed at the graffiti on the far wall.

Yeah, it was a bright day but we were in the woods.

Flash is something I have yet to acquire. More and more I'm realizing my limitations without it, however. I will note this spot as a future location for when I do get an OCF unit.
