Curious Little Deer

We saw each other at the same time, so I stayed very still and snapped away. It was so curious, it walked slowly down the path to within 20 feet of me.

Thanks! Yes, the light was coming from the rear. Was very hard to get a good shot, as you can see!

I am such a frequent visitor (262 days last year - probably more this year so far) at our state park, that most of the deer, including a few of the larger bucks are so used to me being there, they won't even move out of my way when I'm walking down a trail. They know I won't feed them so they just go their way as I go mine. Trust me though, when the Rut starts, all bets are off.

Nice set. We have a lot of deer passing though but one doe actually lived on the property for a few years. Our house has floor to ceiling windows on one end with a wrap around deck. She would come up to look over the edge of the deck and watch us- drove the dogs nuts.
