Cust Rally Sprint

A local gravel rally sprint today in Cust NZ, it was cold misty and drizzling.
But it was great trying to catch the gravel roost from the cars.
Also would using a polarizer help with the glare on the windscreens/windshields?

I like these, rain and drizzle go hand in hand with rallying, in Ireland anyhow, the polarizer would get rid of the glare note the light on the first couple is different to the last of the blue car. If it was sunny there would be allot more glare.

I second image from the rear of the black impezza is better I think, for a magazine for example, then the first as to much of the car is unseen.

Yes, a CPL will help reduce windshield glare and allow you to better see the driver/co-driver.

I like the first and second best. I think the second is better than the other similar shots because you can see enough of the car and the road ahead.

The last one is pretty cool, too.

Sweet. I like the shots with all the gravel getting kicked up. I've always wanted to go to a rally event.

It's such a shame Ireland isn't on the wrc calendar anymore. But I think the local events seem to do a good if not better job.

Also Irish teams make for the best in car videos.

Midgeman looks like you know your motorsport, I'm off to Australia in October to watch the v8s at Bathurst, maybe you've heard of it? It's pretty big down here.

I haven't seen the wrc when it was here but have seen the likes of Sebastian Loeb here pre wrc stages and they were just like robots going into n out off corners, bisch, bash, bosch, not spectator friendly type stuff, but they were on tarmac. No NZ gravel roads here

I think this one shows were a Polariser would help and plus the importants of being aware of the light conditions.

V8s is probably the best spectator Motorsport out there. Touring cars are a close second.

The full grids help, nothing worse then 12 cars going around.
Were going to be camped up on Mt Panorama, so plenty of good opportunitys for photos, of cars and scenery.

I am so jealous. Besides Spa, Bathurst is one of the most unique circuits out there.
