Just one of our friends and his kid. I really like this picture because they did not pose for it. The picture they posed for did not look as good. I know that there are people in the background but thats ok with me.

You could crop and make your friend and child much more the subject of your photo....

I agree with LaFoto. If you're able to crop and put the attention on the child, those eyes would look even more amazing.

Here is the croped picture, I think it does'nt look near as good. I had to go that small to get just them in the picture.

Don't crop to non-standard ratios. It draws attention to the size rather than let attention stay on the picture.

Cropping to 4 x 5 in portrait mode made a very nice composition..
