I think the softness is a combination of slow shutter speed and some massive NR because it was really dark, even with the f stop at 1.8

this makes me sad and think about my cat that passed away but nice pics though. 2 is the best in my opinion. The green light in 3 is anoying..

I love number one. And the softness just increases the impression I'm getting of that kitten's actual softness I like how she's leaning into the red light. Question: could the soft light be (partially) due to a relatively large light source?
