D O F assignment trouble

Glad we could help. You DID pickup what the tracher wanted you to get out of that assignment 100! Thanks for not using pretaken pics, as they actually would have failed. Happy to help you learn,. that's what forums are for.

(The DOF preview button is located on the lens mount underneath where the pop up flash release is, I am too lazy to get my camera but it might be under the lensmount unlock button))

Sw1tchFX I was joking about handing those in but they do fit the assigment. DOF is essentially focusing on the foreground or the background with an open aperature.

Actually D-50 if you took one of your images with a large DOF then BOTH flowers would be in focus

or at least it should be for the point of this excorsise

You know what I misread the assignment. I did not realize one was supposed to have a deep dof and the other a shallow. My mistake. I thought the assignemnt was to demonstrate dof by changing the point of focus with a shallow dof.
