I had just got my new Nikon D7000 in time to shoot my son's school production of the Wizard of Oz. I decided to rent a nice zoom lens since the Kit lens wasn't going to do the job. I rented a Nikon 70-200 AF-S f/2.8G ED VRII. Only had a day to get familar with with it, so a lot of the shots were not great. Here's some of the better ones. All were taken handheld with VR on.

NO post processing has been done yet except for cropping on a few of the shots. I know these can be improved a bit, but decided to post these un-edited.

I consider this my first 'real' shoot beyond using a kit only set-up.

I want the lens sooooooooo bad!!!

I have one rented for next month. I have a friend getting married and I wanted a good lens for it.

I highly recommend the lens. It's very heavy, but I got some good shot just from holding it. I tried to tripod it at a later performance and didn't get as good of shots. Go figure. Probably needed to turn the VR off or something.

This lens on on my dream list of lenses to own.
