D80 Practice

I got my D80 in on Monday. (yay!)

Here's a couple practice photos as I get used to my first dslr..

The first is a little figurine/box one of my coworkers has on her desk at work. I sat it up on the counter in the sunlight.

I especially like the angel. The way the sunlight falls upon it, It looks like it could be on a greeting card.

I'm not a professional, I'm here to improve myself, myself.
However, If you don't already, obtain a circular polarizing filter, I will make those outdoor pics (especially the water ones) stand out.
