D800 Video Good Lens

hey everyone i will be shooting music videos/ short films/ movies with my DSLR camera i have a Nikon D800 and i was looking at the Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AS UMC Lens for Nikon F (AE Chip) has anyone tried this lens on a D800 camera or better for video and can i please have some feedback on the pros and cons of this lens.

I haven't tried that particular lens, no, however the Samyang lenses in general are... adequate at best. They tend to suffer from a lot of CA, sub-par build quality and poor quality coatings lead to flaring & ghosting. You're using a really good camera body, why not pair it with an appropriate lens. Yes, the Nikon version will cost a little more, but it's an investment that will pay off in the long run.
