D90_red dots problems

Hi!
We've had our D90 for 5 months now. And we noticed one red dot on multiple darker pictures that made with high ISO setting.
We made a test shot in a completely dark room with the highest ISO setting,fastest shutter speed on f/32 and it revealed even more red dots scattered throughout the completely dark image.

What is it? Do we need to exchange camera?

It's a hot pixel. The red spots in your shot in the completely dark room are image noise.

There is nothing wrong with the camera, it's part of the nature of all digital cameras.

well. these dots are noticeable even on the pics that were made outside in the park during the day.

Yes, a hot pixel will always be hot - the same pixel will show up in every single picture... It's normal, and there isn't really anything you can do about it.

Lightroom, for example, will automatically take care of it with the default noise reduction settings. It should be easy to clone out too...

If it really bothers you, you could take a dark frame (lens cap on), save that, then subtract anything on it from your pictures. That will get rid of all of them (there are probably more than one).

Yes, lots of people see them in their photos. Particularly, when they use auto modes and let the camera select the ISO setting.

You can get a bit of info on the ISO setting on page 74 of the D90 users manual.

Perhaps you could post some examples. To a certain degree, anyone here is guessing about what you are describing. Seeing would make the advice more certain.
