They're both great, but I'm leaning more towards the b/w. (if barely)

I like the monotoned one. I feel like the sharpening is a little over done in each; there is some noticeable halo-ing.

I think flickr compression is adding the halo as there is no sharpening applied

I've been hearing lately that flickr hasn't been doing a very good job with hosting images. I host all of mine on deviantart.com, and there seems to be no compression.

As is, mono. I actually think they are both a touch too heavy in the mids/shadows, but the mono is lighter. I would probably choose the color if you lifted the shadows more and probably knocked back the vibrance a touch.

Personally, I would probably give this a light "Dave Hill" type of look...

Definitely the monochrome, but I'd like to see it in a black & white monochrome rather than the 'hint-o-sepia' that I see now.

Definitely the mono. I don't know if its the abs or the simplicity, but this is one of my fav shots from you.

Refreshing to see a fit man with some chest hair. So many of them shave it off these days.
