Dam Mirror

Been having trouble sleeping lately, so might as well turn it into a positive.

Went to the Dam to catch a decent sunrise, this is what I came back with.

It's a neat picture but the cloud almost looks like a mistake.....a big smudge on the image. I guess because it doesn't look like a cloud.

But from that point to the right it's a really cool picture.

Now that you say that, I can't stop staring at it HAHA, good eye.

Nice, I think the cloud adds an essential balance to the image. Very simple and balanced, the colours work very well. Be careful with the separation of values between the sky and the reflection though. The eye expects the reflection to be darker, so if you have too little separation then the eye can be tricked into thinking the reflection is lighter. This is a very subtle darkening of the reflection, open them in separate tabs and flick between the two:

The image is actually mirrored. I photoshopped it. Selected the top half, duplicated, inverted, ta da.

So it's literally exactly the same

I didn't like the original foreground, and this idea popped into my head.
